There are various situations when the users need a tool that “reads” any given piece of text by using an artificial voice. Text to Speech Maker employs a realistic enough voice that will read text content from e-mail, documents, websites, etc. It is a well-designed program that runs on few system resources and provides professional results.
I was impressed by the program’s ability to transform any given text into a female voice, though it was useful if the application supported more languages (for the moment, it is able to read only text that is written in English). Text to Speech Maker comes with only one voice (Microsoft Anna - English), but additional ones can be downloaded from the developer’s website. Also, languages like French and German are available.
Another useful feature is the program’s capability to load entire text files and read them aloud. In addition, an option to convert text to audio formats is available. The program enables the user to choose from MP3, WAV or VOX audio formats and set the desired audio frequency and bitrate.
I consider Text to Speech Maker to be an efficient tool that “reads” various text content and also saves it to audio formats.
